Replacement Parts

I'm a little confused on how replacement parts work - how you find out if they are available and how to order them.

I need the following items that orignially come with the dolls such as:

Josefina's blue hair ribbon
Kirsten's amber heart necklace
Kirsten't orignial striped socks

Well I know the necklace comes with the accessories, but of course I'm not going to pay for a whole new accessories set! I really miss it though!

And one other question:

The chalk I have for the school sets for Kirsten and Addy is broken. Does have a little method for finding/creating doll-sized chalk?

Oh, I've been wondering too: can you get hair ribbons through replacement parts?

You can get loads of items through parts. All you have to do is call AG and ask for Customer Service. The ladies there can look up the items for you if they feel like it. Sometimes you will get a good agent and other times you won't.

I think that Josefina's blue hair ribbon maybe the only item that cannot be replaced. I heard this from someone else, who did call them and tried to order one. CS said they did not have that ribbon for replacements. [img]frown.gif[/img] I wanted to get an extra one as I am afraid it may get lost one day.

You can get some hair ribbons but not others. I got Kirsten's blue "meet" hair ribbons for $2, but I couldn't get just Addy's plaid ribbon from her ribbon set.

I know that they sell sets of hair ribbons for Samantha (which includes her meet ribbon) and Molly (includes all colors) for $6. You can order them on the website if you just type in hair ribbon it will come up.
They have Kirstens replacement socks if you call CS. They sent me Kirstens instead of Molly's, I should have kept them!!!!!
I really need the white stockings that came with Samantha's Lacy Whites. They said that they did not have them as replacement parts and there is absolutely NOTHING to substitute for them. I cannot believe that you cannot get more stockings as half of the time the garters make holes in them. I have tried a couple of times but if anyone gets an item number, would you PLEASE let me know.
When ordering replacement parts, it REALLY helps to have the original item number of the outfit that you are trying to get the parts for. I have had much better luck that way. Sometimes the CS people just do not want to be bothered and say that they do not have them and sometimes I think that they are just new and do not understand how the replacement part issue works.....

P.S. The Molly and Samantha "Meet" shoes are the same and they do have replacement shoes, they are either $6 or $8, I cannot remember........

I have always gotten helpful CS people. Ask for CS. Know the part number of the original set the item came with. Call late at night when they are not very busy. I actually think that sometimes when you call late at night they are bored, and happy to get a call and will spend longer hunting for items.

I need Kirsten's meet ribbons, I lost one and I've been looking all over for it, I also need replacement ribbons for Molly's After School Outfit, and need new Molly or Samantha shoes, and the stockings the Felicity doll comes with.

Has anyone asked for Josefina's original "shoes" (moccasins) successfully?

For Sam's white lace stockings, I much prefer the longer ones from Tallina's! But then, I'm not a purist. ;-)
